This past weekend I flew over to Elizabeth City (via Norfolk) to visit my best friend Aaron and his family. Aaron and I lived across the street from each other in KY starting in middle school. We never would have thought almost 20 years later I would be changing his kids diapers. Cassie is 2 1/2. We had lots of fun reading books, watching Spongebob Squarepants and eating cupcakes. Logan is 6 weeks old...he slept, ate and peed alot. Aaron and Wendy really wanted me to have the "baby experience". I changed diapers, clothes and walked the floors when he fussed. I loved every minute of it. Was a little freaked out with putting the arms in the sleeves of his outfits and putting his arms in the car seat. I felt like I was going to break his little arms. Here are some pictures from the trip.....

If you notice Baby Logan (as Cassie calls him) is wearing a UK t-shirt. Do not be fooled, he has on UNC pants! The best of both worlds. At least a compromise between Aaron and Stacie. The last picture is a sad good-bye at the airport. Cassie did not want Aunt Stacie to leave.
As far as our little one, I am feeling pretty good. Eating like crazy. Wendy sent me home with some maternity tops and bath stuff for me! Yea! No more presents for the parents once the little one is announced!
Thank you Wendy and Aaron for having me this past weekend. I enjoyed it very much. I miss everyone already. The kids will be so big the next time I see them!
Until Next Time......Stacie

What a great trip! It so good to see you in pictures!!!!
I was once told that it is not what is inside a person but what they do that defines them. From what I saw over the weekend, Stacie is going to be a great mother to her and Matt's child. I have watched Stacie grow up before my eyes and am very proud that she will experience the joy of being a parent. However, she did spoil both of my little children and my wife and I have had to pull double duty to reprogram them over the past couple of days. My daughter Cassandra (aka princess, or cup cake addict) has been asking every morning and when I come home " where is aunt Stacie daddy..." I have to tell her that she went back home to her daddy. Anyway, I think I will have to find another educational show on television, so as to assist with this reprogramming. Stacie did have a nice long talk with my son Logan and now all he wants, is for us to hold and cuddled him. I know in some little baby way, this is how he is asking us, Where is aunt Stacie mommy and daddy.
I must say that it was a great weekend all in all. I got to see Stacie read the three little pigs to my daughter( how about that for a partial Kentucky grade school education!!) and watch the movie CARS. So I think she is well on her way of knowing the truth of being a parent. Ok.. I think I have said enough for my first posting. C-ya Aaron
